Scaled Agile Framework FAQs

What does SAFe stand for?

SAFe stands for Scaled Agile Framework. They are a set of organisation and workflow patterns for implementing agile practices at an enterprise scale.

What is the difference between Agile and Scaled Agile Framework?

Agile is an iterative approach to project management and software development methodologies that helps teams deliver value to their customers faster in short cycles and incrementally. Whereas Scaled Agile Framework focuses on complex organisations/enterprises by leveraging lean-agile principles and systems development at scale.

What is the difference between SAFe and Scrum?

Scrum is a popular Agile framework that insists on iterative delivery of value to customers, whereas the SAFe is a scaling framework for implementing scrum along with Kanban ventures. Both these approaches are for specific project management in modern software development.

What are the 4 core values of SAFe?

The four core values of SAFe are alignment, built-in quality, transparency, and program execution. They represent the fundamental beliefs that are key to SAFe’s effectiveness. These guiding principles help the participants dictate behavior and action in a SAFe portfolio.

Is SAFe Scrum or Kanban?

SAFe is just above the Scrum and Kanban approaches and is applied at the enterprise scale. We use these methodologies according to the need. Scrum is used at the team level and Kanban is used at the Essential, Portfolio, Program, and Large Solution levels of SAFe.

How do you implement Scaled Agile Framework?
