Professional Scrum Foundations™ (PSF) Course Overview
The Professional Scrum Foundations course (PSF) is a 2-day course that teaches Scrum by allowing trainees to experience what it’s like to deliver products using the Scrum framework. Working in a series of Sprints, trainees break into Scrum Teams fulfilling all of the roles on a team to deliver, simulating real-life problems.
The Scrum.org Professional Scrum Foundations course is excellent Scrum training for organizations, teams and anyone wanting to experience the way of working in the most popular type of Agile. The PSF course also provides the foundation of knowledge needed for role-focused training for Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, and Leaders within an Agile organization.
This Professional Scrum Foundations (PSF) provides the foundational knowledge needed to work with Scrum in a highly practical way. The course is a combination of instruction and team based exercises where students experience how the Scrum framework improves product delivery efforts.
The course also includes two free attempts at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Master I certification exam (PSM I).

Topics
The Professional Scrum Foundations training course (PSF course) leaves trainees with a strong understanding of:
- Fundamentals of Scrum;
- The Scrum Framework;
- Mastering Scrum;
- Planning with Scrum;
- Getting started with Scrum.
Objectives
Trainees are challenged to act in terms of Scrum. They take home an increased understanding of how to collaborate better and work as a team. Trainees attending the PSF class:
- Will have a clear understanding of the mechanics of Scrum and their coherence;
- Learn how to use visual information radiators;
- Will leave the class with a handful of tips to identify common pitfalls and dysfunctions;
- Can take part of a Scrum Team and be more effective;
- Can increase Scrum’s effectiveness if already underway.
Professional Scrum Foundations Course Certification
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Foundations course (PSF course) will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification assessment. PSF class participants who attempt the PSM I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.
Attendees who attend the Professional Scrum Foundations course (PSF course), and go on to pass the PSM I certification assessment will receive:
Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certificate;
Inclusion in the list of Professional Scrum Certificate Holders
The industry-recognised PSM certifications require a challenging minimum passing score which ensures the certifications have true value in the marketplace. If you pass the PSM certifications your name will be posted publicly for colleagues, managers, and potential employers to see.
